Llangollen 2009 International Musical Eisteddfod
The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is a world-renowned festival of music, song and dance. Competitors from more than fifty countries come together for one week to stand side by side through music, while each evening the Pavilion plays hosts to concerts by world-class artists.

What better introduction to the Eisteddfod's evening entertainment for youngsters than to be able to see all the competitors processing with flags and banners onto the stage to the sound of trumpet fanfares! Then a choir of youngsters from ten different countries will join together to sing 'Look at the World' in celebration. Our President Terry Waite will introduce the procession of performers, and the broadcaster Brian Kay will take us through the spectacular dancing and singing that follows with his normal charm and wit. So bring the whole family for a colourful and memorable evening.
In 2009 musicians and dancers from across the world join celebrity artists including
Barbara Dickson, Sir Willard White, Blake and Natasha Marsh on the Eisteddfod Stage, culminating in a fantastic concert featuring the
music of James Bond performed by the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera, conducted by Carl Davis.

Join in the activities and fun on the field, come into the Pavilion and watch the outstanding competitions, relax by the outside stages and watch the scheduled and impromptu performances, or come to the evening concerts to see the best of the Eisteddfod competitors and the celebrity stars.
