Courtenay House is an adult only Bed & Breakfast located in Bovey Tracey, the gateway to Dartmoor. It makes an ideal location for those visiting the area.

Bovey Tracey is a picturesque town right on the edge of Dartmoor & located just 8 miles away from Torquay. It provides an excellent base from which to explore. There are numerous scenic walks & cycle paths nearby. There are also a number of riding centres in the area if you want to go riding.

Courtenay House is a victorian house that still maintains many of its original features. There is a homely atmosphere full of chintz and period charm with old china tableware and lace tablecloths. Antiques are bought & sold as well as a Tea Room which operates during the day.

Bovey Tracey is one of the main gateway towns to Dartmoor; with a number of unique visitor attractions and a good mixture of shops. A pretty cob and Dartmoor-granite built town; situated on the River Bovey it is home to the internationally renowned Devon Guild of Craftsmen; based in a 19th century water mill on the river.

Other local attractions include the House of Marbles glass blowing and visitor centre; Cardew Tea pottery factory and the National Trust’s Parke estate. On alternate Saturday mornings; the town’s Farmers Market sells local produce.
