The Hood Arms is located in the village of Kilve which is located in Quantocks. It is a 17th century coaching inn awarded a 4 star rating by the AA. The Inn has recently been completely refurbished which has helped to create a modern and stylish guest accommodation.

The Inn’s restaurant helps create a cosy atmosphere with its open fires and oak beams, which help keep the roots of the Inn alive. Within the bar there are wide range of real ales and a carefully chosen wine list.

As the Inn is located in the Quantocks there are a range of activities on offer, ranging from supervised walks to mountain biking though the hills. Situated between Bridgwater and Minehead, the Inn offers easy access to many villages and costal towns along the A39.



West Country hospitality can be sampled in comfort and style at "The Hood Arms", in the village of Kilve in the Quantocks. This charming 17th century coaching inn, is family owned and managed by the Eason family, who are only the fourth landlords of "The Hood" in over a century! The comfortable dining areas are smoke-free, and attractively appointed to provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Chef Vanessa Eason and her kitchen team use local produce and fresh herbs from the Hood's garden to create a delicious and interesting menu, featuring dishes of local game or fish. The inn is well known for its succulent fillet steak and traditional Sunday roasts served with a special gravy, made from an old family recipe. Special diets can be catered for and there is a good choice for vegetarian guests. We have 12 en suite guest rooms. Each room is individually decorated, with many retaining charming period features. All rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and either shower or bath, or both. As well as double and twin rooms, we also have family rooms for upto three people, and 'family suites' comprised of two bedrooms and one bathroom in a self-contained unit for up to four people.

Apple View is the West Annexe of Temple Farm. It had originally been built as a cider house we think about 100 years ago! We had more recently used it for storing of all things Bramley apples.
