Centrally located in the Scottish coastal town of Eyemouth; Churches is a modern hotel that combines traditional values in elegant surroundings. The original building on the corner of 'Albert and Victoria'; was built in 1790 for use as a church manse; and then later converted into a hotel. Following extensive renovation and refurbishment Churches opened for business in 2000. The hotel has two restaurants a bar; and six guest rooms; all with private facilities. Each is individually designed and furnished to the highest standards. The landscaped garden contains a paved pergola and sun terrace for outside dining on warmer days. One of the features is an unusual circular arch; a Moongate. Chinese in origin; it symbolises the eternity of the wedding ring. Those who get married under it will forever be bonded. Great emphasis is placed on the quality of dining at Churches. The regularly changing menu uses only the finest produce. A varied menu offers a selection of inspiring seafood and meat dishes individually cooked to ensure the natural flavours of the food is retained. There is a formal four star restaurant which may double as a mini conference suite or alternatively the conservatory with views over the harbour provides a more relaxed dining atmosphere.
