Wiltshire Lodge is a large, elegant first-floor apartment situated in a wing of Wiltshire House. The private entrance leads you into the Hall Lobby with magnificent stained glass windows and original Victorian tiled floor. The impressive oak staircase takes you up to your comfortable and spacious accommodation. The apartment has recently been re-decorated and sleeps up to 6. There is off-road parking and a patio for outdoor dining. Wiltshire Lodge is a non-smoking establishment and I am afraid we cannot accept pets.. The superb Sitting/Dining Room has a large Victorian bay window and is comfortably furnished for dining and relaxing afterwards. It is equipped with colour television / Freeview / DVD, CD/tape player and a good selection of books and board games. An up-to-the-minute gas fire set in a beautiful marble surround for those cooler evenings provides a perfect room in which to relax with the family. This spacious Victorian Kitchen is equipped with every modern appliance - washer/dryer, electric oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave. It is set up for informal dining. There are two very large bedrooms, which can be set up to take additional beds for family occupancy. Both are very light and airy, comfortably furnished and boast original Victorian bedroom fireplaces. A third smaller bedroom sleeps 1 / 2 - perfect for the children. All bed linen is supplied. Finally, end the day in the luxurious bathroom which has recently been completely refurbished and has a large feature corner bath with shower over. WILTSHIRE HOUSE is an early Victorian property, set in large secluded gardens, with ample off-road parking and access by a private lane. Many of the original features of the house have been preserved; including the servants' call system, although fortunately the only displays still in working order are the front door and servants' entrance. The original dwelling was constructed over 160 years ago, Circa 1840, as a large cottage complete with stone flagged floors. In 1880 additions were carried out to create what was described as a “Three Bed roomed Gentleman's Residence". Wiltshire House is run by its owners, joint proprietors Gerry Hooper and Sue Plaisted. It offers friendly and informal accommodation, and operates a 'No Smoking' policy. Our resident cats - Jack and Rupert - refuse to allow us to accept pets - sorry.
