The Hotel has been in existence for some 300 years - starting its life as a Coaching Inn as evidenced by the high Archway for stage coaches to access the courtyard at the rear of the Hotel where the oringinal stables were which is now a large private Car Park for Hotel patrons.It is a grade II listed building but although the outside has remained unaltered, the inside has been carefully modernised to bring it up to standard. All rooms are en suite. The hotel now has 16 en suite bedrooms, a 50 seater restaurant and Neuadd Nest, a traditional Welsh styled function suite that is licenced for 400 with a 200 head seating capacity. This modern purpose built facility is ideal for Weddings, Banqueting, Functions, Entertainment and Conferences. The Hotel is set in the beautiful heartland of South West Wales, providing easy access both to the coast and to the gentle hills and valleys and rivers that are a feature of the region. We pride ourselves on offering healthy and tasty fare cooked in our cottage kitchen on the Aga just for you; we use organic and local produce whenever possible. Each of the pretty cottage bedrooms have been decorated in period style using traditional colors and fabrics. The beds are very comfortable, made up ready for you with fresh cotton linen. There is a welcome tray with a selection of beverages, a hairdryer, bathrobes, and color television are in the rooms for your comfort and convenience. Our guests are welcome to use the pretty sunny cottage garden which is delightful in summer months . There are some lovely walks from the door giving good views over the valley. The country lane is filled with snow drops in February, daffodils in March and bluebells in April/May, a peaceful stroll down our country lane is a perfect treat before breakfast. The sea is only half hours drive away. The coast is wild and wonderful with so much to see, exploring this part of Wales will be a wonderful surprise for you, helping to make it a memorable holiday that you will never want to end. Situated in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside with panoramic views across the Gwendraeth Valley, Bryngwenyn Farm offers self catering holiday cottages or B & B accommodation. Just 5 miles from the M4 motorway we are easy to reach and ideally situated for the many local attractions, castles gardens and the beautiful beaches of the Gower. The three self-catering Cottages are situated just across the yard from the farmhouse and are conversions of a former barn. They are comfortably furnished and sleep up to five adults with either two or three bedrooms.Each cottage is fully equipped with an electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, colour TV and Video or DVD player. Heating is by night storage with additional electric "log burning stoves". A washing machine and tumble dryer is available on site for guests to use. The cottages have a large shared garden with swings and a new willow wigwam which should have grown well by the summer holidays. There is a picnic bench for each cottage and at the side a patio area with tables and chairs where guests can enjoy a barbecue in the evening sunshine. We look forward to welcoming you!

Ricketts Mill B&B Accommodation and Trout Fishery Set in a peaceful and tranquil wooded valley, 6 miles from the Historic Market town of Carmarthen. Our l8th Century home is a stone built former millers cottage and was extended some years ago. It lies in 14 Acres and is bounded by two rivers, the Afon Cywyn and Nant Cynnen where small native Brown & Sea Trout will be seen. Although in a quiet and idyllic setting, we are in an ideal position for visiting Countryside and Coast. Bedroom1 This is a twin room en suite – consisting of toilet/basin and shower of excellent quality. Bedroom 2 This is a twin room with its own private bathroom – newly fitted to a very high standard. Both rooms have tea/coffee facilities/television/hairdryer. Comfortable beds and excellent furnishings. Views of the lake. On many nights, you will hear the owls calling to each other. Visitors Lounge This room has excellent quality furniture, colour television, and video. There is an open fire, which may be lit when required and an abundance of literature available of places to visit and see. Dining Room This looks out on to one of the lakes, and while enjoying your choice of cooked breakfast or lighter choice of yogurt and fruit, cereals/fruit juices/tea/coffee/chocolate, you will be able to watch the numerous birds feeding including woodpeckers.
