Brimpts is a 3 star Duchy of Cornwall upland beef farm set right in the middle of Dartmoor National Park. With stunning views of the impressive and imposing Yar Tor, the farm is rich in natural splendour and local folklore.

Ideally located for a long weekend break, there are a range of activities within walking distance, from various farm walks and trails to horse riding, climbing, abseiling or mountain biking. We are also well placed for the Tin Mine Trail if you are interested in the history of the area, or Letterboxing if you fancy a challenge!

Brimpts is also well placed for exploring the area, being just 20 minutes drive from the old market towns of Tavistock and Ashburton, the former of which won market town of the year in 2006. There are also 3 National Trust proprieties on the periphery of the moor within 30 minutes drive.

The Two Bridges Hotel is nestled beside the West Dart river in 60 acres of private grounds at the very heart of the Dartmoor National Park, The hotel is reminiscent of a bygone age of opulence with the added extravagance of today's little luxuries.

Built in 1794 as a coaching inn at the opening of the trans-moor turnpike, the property was originally called 'The Saracen's Head'. It only gained its present name in the early 1900s with the modern road being completed in 1931.

The hotel now boasts 33 bedrooms which are elegantly furnished to the highest standards yet they retain an individuality so lacking in many more modern hotels. The comfortable lounges, with huge log fires and leather armchairs provide the ideal place to relax after a day on the moor.

The Two Bridges Hotel is an ideal base from which to visit Buckland Abbey, home of Sir Francis Drake, Widecombe-in-the-Moor of 'Uncle Tom Cobley' fame, Becky Falls and Buckfast Abbey, a working Benedictine Monastery.

The Forest Inn, situated in the Dartmoor Forest, is a country inn offering an atmosphere from a more relaxed era. As a refuge for walkers, riders,fishermen, canoeists or anyone just looking for an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Dartmoor, we provide a wide range of comfortable bedrooms. With the emphasis on Devon beers and cider, you have the opportunity to quench your thirst after the efforts of the day with a drink at the bar or relaxing on the Chesterfields in the lounge area, complete with log fire for winter evenings. We specialise in home made foods using local produce wherever possible. There is an extensive range of dishes on the menu, plus our ever-changing blackboard. We have at present seven en-suite rooms and three standard rooms with private bath/shower room.
