Dramatically situated at the very heart of Dartmoor National Park at its highest point (1,000ft above sea level) yet in a tranquil and secluded location, Prince Hall is an intimate country house hotel with, as so many of our guests tell us, the atmosphere of a most welcoming home.
We and our staff are dedicated to offering exceptional comfort, hospitality and cuisine in a unique setting. In 2006/7 the hotel was lauded as a personal Favourite Retreat by the editor of the prestigious Good Hotel Guide. We also received the Bronze Award in the Restaurants in Devon category of the Taste of the West Food and Drink Awards.
The ambience at Prince Hall is one of relaxation and tranquillity and we therefore regret that children under the age of 10 cannot be accommodated. A country house hotel is not complete, however, without a dog - or two! - and well-behaved dogs are genuinely welcomed with no extra charge.
Smoking Policy: Non-smoking throughout, except for the Bar.
TARIFF QUOTED IS PER NIGHT, PER ROOM (DOUBLE ROOMS BASED ON TWO PEOPLE SHARING) AND INCLUDES WELCOMING REFRESHMENTS, FIVE-COURSE DINNER, EN SUITE ACCOMMODATION, FULL DEVONSHIRE OR CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST, AND VAT AT THE CURRENT RATE
Please telephone the hotel for information on:* Single occupancy of a double room * * Availability over public holidays and Special Breaks *
Prince Hall closes for the month of January for maintenance and we apologise for any disappointment caused.

Two Bridges Hotel

The Two Bridges Hotel is nestled beside the West Dart river in 60 acres of private grounds at the very heart of the Dartmoor National Park, The hotel is reminiscent of a bygone age of opulence with the added extravagance of today's little luxuries.
Built in 1794 as a coaching inn at the opening of the trans-moor turnpike, the property was originally called 'The Saracen's Head'. It only gained its present name in the early 1900s with the modern road being completed in 1931.
The hotel now boasts 33 bedrooms which are elegantly furnished to the highest standards yet they retain an individuality so lacking in many more modern hotels. The comfortable lounges, with huge log fires and leather armchairs provide the ideal place to relax after a day on the moor.
The Two Bridges Hotel is an ideal base from which to visit Buckland Abbey, home of Sir Francis Drake, Widecombe-in-the-Moor of 'Uncle Tom Cobley' fame, Becky Falls and Buckfast Abbey, a working Benedictine Monastery.
