There are many varied walks on the doorstep and a 9 hole golf course opposite the hotel. Local attractions include, Chatsworth House, Castleton Caves and Caverns, Holmfith the Last of the Summer Wine country, The Lowry Gallery in Manchester, with Manchester International Airport 14 miles away.

All rooms are individually designed, with no two alike, most are double with queen-sized beds, and others are twin bedded. Our hotel has gained a reputation for first class home cooking, served in the delightful surroundings of the charming period dining room. In order to maintain the peace and quiet, for which we have become renowned, we do not have a restaurant open to the general public, instead we serve a three course dinner to residents and their invited guests between 7.00 and 8.00 o'clock.
