Welcome to The Royal Hotel, the face of Ross-on-Wye and the gateway between Wales and England.The Royal is a majestic, beautiful hotel dating back to 1837. But in no way intimidating, a very friendly and warm welcome awaits you. Refurbishment work completed in December 2006 has given the building a new lease of life. We are now access-friendly into our restaurant and bar. Being a grade ll listed building has created a few problems extending this to our bedrooms, but we are working on it.The changes are fantastic, though in character. We are particularly enjoying the new and#8216;Riverview Barand#8217; and as the name suggests you can enjoy the magnificent views across the Wye Valley and River below.The Royal is situated on the rocky cliff above the Wye valley (I think I mentioned the views already) and is in deed the face of Ross -on-Wye. Ross was one of the first market towns in England and is still known for its antique shops and Market Square.We have two spectacular dining areas to satisfy most appetites. Barrettand#8217;s Restaurant offers a more formal dining experience in our Grand restaurant with chandeliers, table service, subdued lighting and soft music. Or choose to relax and unwind in the Riverview bar or on the terrace whilst taking in the breath taking views of the River Wye and the surrounding hills and valley (we have mentioned the views).

The Royal Oak is located in the picturesque market town town of Ledbury, Herefordshire. This traditional black and white timbered building is full of character, with oak beams, wattle and daub walls and real log fires in winter.

It is within two minutes walk of Ledbury town centre, where visitors can take a stroll down cobbled Church Street - with its historic black and white buildings, it has been frequently used as a film set. A little further afield, there is beautiful countryside to explore, including the villages of Bosbury and Much Marcle and scenic walking and cycling areas.

The hotel has been providing accommodation for nearly 600 years. Although modernised, it has retained its historic character. There is a restaurant and two bars on offer, which are also open to the public. The friendly staff welcome all visitors, including families.

The Bateman Arms, an 18th Century three storey Inn with rooms, is situated in the village of Shobdon in the unspoilt County of Herefordshire on the English, Welsh Border.The listed building is of fairly striking and unusual appearance with some of the last of the old cobbled paving outside its front.Recently renovated the Inn offers a wealth of character. Bedrooms. Each of our nine rooms is furnished in the traditional style with remote control television, tea and coffee making facilities and hair dryer.

The Bay Horse is situated in the centre of the quiet market town of Bromyard, just 12 miles north-west of Hereford.

A traditional black and white timber building dating back to the 16th century with a wealth of period features. Each of our five en-suite rooms feature oak beams and comfortable furnishing.

Our dining room is open seven days a week and offers simple traditional food made from locally sourced ingredients. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.

The bar is the traditional hub of the community that you might expect from an Inn that has been operating for nearly 500 years. Local characters are always present. We also offer entertainment at weekends in the form of live music, from some of the excellent local bands.

Kilverts nestles in the centre of Hay-on-Wye, the 'Book Capital' of Britain, surrounded by glorious countryside. Many outdoor activities are available for those who do not wish to visit the numerous book, antique and craft shops in the town, although it would be a shame to miss out on them.

The Hostelrie Hotel in the village of Goodrich is dated back to 1628, origionaly known as the Crown and Anchor, Between 1819 and 1832 it became a Workhousebut then was re opened as the Crown and Anchor.In 1851 it became the Hostelrie and has remained until this day.We have seven en suite bedrooms with tv, hospitality tray. the traditional Lounge Bar boasts a range of Wye Valley real ales, wines and beers. The Castle Restaurant can comfortably seat 65 and is also ideal for private parties.We are set in a small village jjust yards from Goodrich Castle and also boast ample car parking and large gardens.
