A recently updated development of self catering holiday homes & cottages. The homes are set in the grounds of Longhirst Hall within Northumberland We areset in 75 acres of wooded parkland, a relaxing setting with easy access to the A1, Newcastle upon Tyne and the Northumberland countryside and coastline, making it a perfect base for exploring the local area.

Half board is available at a charge of £23 per day for adults and £10 for children under 16. Meals are served at Longhirst Hall, please call us if you would like to order and pay for half board.

A pleasant detached cottage sleeping 4 people.

The cottage has a large enclosed garden with patio complete with furniture and BBQ. Inside there is a lounge with an open fire, a dining room with original cast iron range. Heating is provided by storage heaters. A well equipped modern kitchen is also available. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin. The bathroom has a bath with separate shower cubicle. All linen and towels provided.

With easy access from the A1 the Ulgham Grange Crossing Cottage offers an ideal location for exploration of the North East of England. Within easy driving distance of Newcastle, Morpeth, Ashington (old mining town with the Woodhorn museum), Alnwick and Lindisfarne.

With secure storage of bicycles and close to the heritage coast route the cottage offers an ideal location for cyclists.

The Local Area

Our bed & breakfast is ideally suited for use as a base to explore and discover the many attractions of Northumberland. We are in easy driving distance of Warkworth, Chillingham, Bamburgh castles, Hadrian’s Wall and of course the famous Alnwick castle and gardens. Newcastle and the Metro Centre are only 30 minutes from Castle View by car. We are in walking distance from the local bus & train station.
For Bank Holiday Weekends there is a minimum stay of 2 nights.
