West Chiltington is located equal distance between Gatwick (30 mins drive) and Brighton, on the South Coast (30 mins drive). The Old School House is situated in the heart of West Sussex and the South Downs, between Storington and Pulborough in the small historic village of West Chiltington. The village has a 12th Century Church, post office, two pubs and provides a tranquil retreat from modern life. The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book as Cilletune and the beautiful church still stands centre stage in the midst of the village with its original stocks. The Old School House is a former school house built in 1876 and converted into a private residence in 1976. The house provides 3 individual bedrooms to a high specification: We have three rooms available: Bluebell, Poppy and Rose. Each room has its own bath or shower, with a selection of luxurious toiletries, together with a TV, selection of DVD's and tea and coffee making facilities. We also supply bathrobes for you to relax in. We look forward to welcoming you!

Barn House Lodge is a spacious family home, quietly located in a small lane close to the centre of Pulborough which has a variety of shops including a Convenience Store, a Chemist, Dry Cleaners, Tea Room and two Banks. There is ample parking for several cars and from the house it is possible to walk down over the water meadows to the River Arun. Also within easy walking distance there are several pub/restaurants for an evening meal. There are two large, bright rooms with great views over the “Wildbrook Meadows” towards the South Downs. One Double room with an en-suite bathroom and one Twin room with private bathroom. Both rooms have TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a main line station in the village with services to London and the South Coast and Barn House Lodge is within forty minutes’ drive of Gatwick. Guests can leave their car here and take the train to the airport (approximately 30 minutes) for a small extra charge. We look forward to welcoming you!
