Welcome to April Cottage Bed & Breakfast situated on the banks of the River Tavy in a pretty garden setting.

April Cottage is a victorian cottage built in 1857 and which is just a few minutes walk from the ancient market town of Tavistock. It retains its Victorian character yet offers modern facilities like central heating and double glazing.

All rooms are beautifully furnished and have all the facilities you would expect from a 'Silver Award' and 'Four Star' bed and breakfast. We offer en-suite facilities as well as colour televisions, radios and tea and coffee makers.

We serve delicious full English breakfasts and evening meals in the conservatory over looking the river upon request by pre-ordering. There is also a patio and decking area overlooking the river which has private fishing rights.

We are non-smoking and offer private parking for you security.

Tavistock
An unspoilt, ancient market town is the centre of a beautiful and fascinating district with many historical buildings and colourful Victorian and craft markets, worth visiting for its own sake but in a position as a centre for a touring holiday with variety and interest from moorland to sea - hard to match. It has a wide variety of excellent eating places, offering differing menus at very reasonable prices.

Dartmoor
On our doorstep, offers horse riding, walking, climbing, fishing and touring in an area of peace and outstanding beauty. A natural habitat for wildlife.
