The history of Beamish can be traced right back to the Norman Conquest and since then the Hall has been a home to several generations of prominent local families. Several areas of the hotel are now named in commemoration of these notable occupants. Located just of the A1(M), we are ideally located for easy access to Newcastle and Durham city centres.

With luxurious fittings and fixtures the bedrooms provide sumptuous accommodation furnished in a traditional style. We offer three different types of rooms: Classic, De Luxe and Premier.

For the holidaymaker or leisure break guest, the county of Durham holds a wealth of interest and activities. These include the multi award-winning family attraction: Beamish - The North of England Open Air Museum, Alnwick Castle and Alnwick gardens.. The Hall provides the closest accommodation for those visiting the Museum. Riding stables are also near by and golf can be arranged at the adjacent course, subject to the availability of tee times.
