An elegant Edwardian house situated just off the A35 between the historic market town of Bridport with its twice weekly street markets and the harbour at West Bay.
We offer family run comfortable accommodation with many thoughtful extras.

Attractions
Bridport is famous for the manufacture of nets, rope and twine which have been produced since the 13th century. It boasts a leisure centre with swimming pool complex, thriving arts centre and museum. The historic towns of Lyme Regis and Dorchester are a short drive away and Somerset and Devon are very close by.
In short, Britmead is the ideal base for exploring.
Most of West Dorset is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty - from the Jurassic coastline famous for it fossils to the rolling hills: home of the Cerne Giant.
Activities include swimming, sea-fishing, fossil-hunting, horse riding, golf, (guests receive preferential green fees), numerous walks along the heritage coast line and inland through the Marshwood Vale.
Among the places of interest are Kingston Lacy, Milton and Forde Abbeys, Athelhampton, Kingston Maurward Park, Clapton Court Gardens, Maiden Castle, Sherborne Castle, World Wide Butterflies, Hardy's Cottage, Broadwindsor Craft Centre,The Swannery and Sub Tropical Gardens at Abbotsbury, Golden Cap and various museums including The Dinosaur, The Dorset, The Tutankhamun, The Fleet Air Arm and the Tank Museum.
