Description
Set in peaceful countryside, Bulworthy Cottage is the ideal place to relax and unwind. Originally the cottage was three 17th century miner's cottages, with whitewashed walls, and slate roofs. These have been sympathetically restored to provide accommodation in quiet, scenic surroundings.
Exposed beams, ceiling trusses and stone fireplaces paint a traditional picture inside, and the walls throughout are attractively colour-washed.
Owners Liz and Graham White offer two letting bedrooms with en- suite shower rooms and pine furniture. The property is efficiently centrally heated and is open for guests all year round.
There is a comfortable guest lounge where you can relax, watch television, listen to music and browse through the many tourist books and leaflets. In cold weather, there is an open fire in the lounge.
A varied selection of evening meals is available in addition to Bed & Breakfast facilities, and the owners are happy to cater for vegetarians.
The property stands in terraced gardens, with lawns and patio for guests to relax, and views across the countryside to Exmoor. Evening meals are always available using local and home grown produce with a selection of wines and beers to compliment the menu. Special diets can be catered for with prior notice.
No dogs, no children under 10, and Bulworthy is not suitable for people with mobility problems due to the layout of the house and grounds; no smoking inside.
Prices quoted are pp per night - there is no surcharge for single occupancy.
