Attractions
What to do around the area...
Weather permitting, a continental lifestyle flourishes with tables and chairs on the cobbled streets.
Both a working harbour and a tourist attraction, boats are chartered all year round for sea angling and scuba diving, and the best quality figures on menus.
The Sutton Harbour Marina and Queens Anne's Battery Marina add to the atmosphere, and pleasure cruises and water taxis ply for trade.
On Plymouth Hoe are monuments to Sir Francis Drake and the Spanish Armada, The Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.
Smeatons Tower lighthouse and a putting green are open in the season. Warships and internationally ferries are regular sights in Plymouth Sound, which is bordered by the County of Cornwall.
The City Centre is modern and there are large department stores, shops and a daily local market. About 15 minutes from Casa Mia is club land at Union Street, and the same distance for the Warner Village complex with 16 screens, ten-pin bowling, two night clubs, and fast food outlets.
The National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Gin factory and Barbican Theatre are all very close to us, and also the art gallery of the late artist Robert Lenkiewicz.
