Recently renovated to a high standard, Esk View Cottage nestles near the river Esk at the Ruswarp end of the picturesque Carrs. We are located within 2 minutes walk of the local grocers, Post Office, award winning butchers and public house.
Located within 300 yards of the house are a tea garden and rental-canoes, which can be hired at a reasonable hourly rate and used to explore the nearby river Esk. We are also on the bus route to Whitby and York.
The property itself offers 3 luxury En-Suite Double Bedrooms, all recently refitted. Our tariff is from £30 per person per night double occupancy. Single occupancy of a double room is from £40.

Attractions
The picturesque village of Ruswarp is situated 1.5 miles inland from Whitby and the Yorkshire Coast. This quiet village has a shop, pub and 9 hole golf course as well as offering both sea and river fishing nearby. Enjoy a ride on the local miniature steam railway or a leisurely row up the river Esk - this is an excellent base for enjoying the Coast indeed several scenic walks around the cottage take you into Whitby and the Esk Valley countryside.
The nearby maritime town of Whitby, with its old cobbled streets and sandy blue flag beach, is set among fine stretches of coast with spectacular cliffs and bays. The world famous 199 steps lead down from the Abbey to the old town where you will find an array of unique shops offering local crafts, Whitby Jet jewellery, maritime memorabilia and antiques.
A selection of diverse attractions includes the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Victorian Jet Works and Whitby Museum with its collections of geology, jet carving, birdlife, bygones, costumes and clocks. Also, throughout the year, special events fill the town with lively street entertainment.
