Forest Side is set within 42 acres of beautifully landscaped, wooded gardens. These gardens provide a stunning and fruitful home to deer, Herdwick sheep and lambs, red squirrels, a badger sett and of course rabbits! A menagerie now you can be a part of! Inside you will be greeted by a warm friendly smile and in cooler weather, a roaring log fire (of which there are four) which are regularly lit.A guest of the long-standing house of Forest Side has the choice of three large lounges to relax, unwind and enjoy a drink in, with the company of friends new and old. Our comfortable bar lounge with views of the surrounding fells is the ideal location to sit and enjoy a selection of home cooked foods from our Bistro menu. Sweep up our grand staircase to find a range of rooms from singles to twins to four posters. Alternatively, a short walk back down the drive brings you to Grasmere Lodge, where our self catering accommodation and some standard hotel rooms are to be found.
