A warm welcome is assured at this homely working farm. The house is grade II listed and thought to date back to the 15th Century at least. It retains many of it;s original features such as the inglenook fireplaces and linenfold panelling in the front hall.

The house is surrounded by gardens and guests are free to sit outside and enjoy the wide open spaces and watch the birds.

Two double/twin, one family and one single room, all with ensuite bathrooms or private bathroom. The beds are pocket sprung and guest often remark on their comfort. All rooms are spacious with colour TV and tea making tray. A small fridge is provided on the landing for milk and drinks ect.

Rooms are indivually and tastefully furnished and decorated with scencilling. There is a seperate lounge with cosy woodburning fire on cold winter evenings. Comfort and warmth are a priority.

A traditional hearty farmhouse breakfast is served using local free range farm eggs and fresh baked bread. Numerous good eating establishments can be found within 5 minutes drive or guests are welcome to bring back takeaway food. (Crockery and cutlery provided).

We have been catering for guests for over 25 years with some of our original guests still returning! Open all year except Christmas.

GREAT TORRINGTON

This historic town, situated in the heart of Tarka Country, is just one and a half miles drive. It is a friendly traditional market town with its recently refurbished Victorian Pannier Market.

In the centre of town is Torrington 1646, which reconstructs the 17th century town at the time of the Battle of Great Torrington. It is also the home of Dartington Crystal with its guided tours and factory shops with a wide range of glass, china, clothes and gifts
