Description
Welcome to Gages Mill - owned and run by Lynda Richards. I hope that you will get a better understanding of our Guest House from our website, and that in addition to enjoying this site, you also choose to come and visit us.
Gages Mill is a Grade 2 listed 14th century former Wool Mill situated at the Southern Gateway to the Dartmoor National Park, one mile from the centre of the ancient Stannary Town of Ashburton with its many pleasant slate hung buildings and projecting first storeys and only minutes from the A38.
Gages Mill stands in over an acre of lawned gardens surrounded by trees and farmland, and has ample guest parking spaces. The building has been carefully converted to retain its original character, whilst offering every modern comfort.
We offer 7 en-suite bedrooms, including one twin bedded room on the ground floor. Each room is tastefully decorated in it's own individual style. All rooms have open countryside views, central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and digital alarm/clock radios.
Our Guest TV lounge has a wonderfully cosy feel with comfortable seating and exposed original Granite walls with a real flame fireplace. A granite arch leads into the Dining room which has a licenced bar and additional Lounge seating for guests.
We look forward to welcoming you.

The Coast-
The South Devon Coast Path runs most of the length of the coast and is well marked. There are dramatic vantage points such as Bolt Head, Wembury Cliffs and Prawle Point. There are large beaches such as Blackpool Sands and many small beaches and quaint little fishing villages. Burgh Island, just off Bigbury, can be reached when the tide is in, by an extraordinary contraption that drives through the sea!
