There are excellent designated walks in and around Lake Vyrnwy, a map is supplied on arrival. A full days walk will take you around the lake or you can hire a bike and cycle around at leisure in approximately two hours.

Outdoor sports are available at the lake side, and trout fishing is available to hire on the lake from the hotel.

There are many trails in the area for mountain bikers and many excellent walks for the more adventurous in the Berwyn hills. Aran Fawddyy being nearby with panoramic views. Snowdon, Llanrhyader’s waterfall and Powys castle are all nearby and the beach is only 1 hr away.
