Attractions
St Agnes is a traditional Cornish coastal village which hasn't changed much over time. You can relax on the sheltered beach of Trevaunance Cove surrounded by steep cliffs, with all the pleasures that the Atlantic Ocean has to offer.
There are many local art galleries, craft shops and a bakery which serves home cooked pasties and bread. St Agnes also has a selection of traditional pubs which serve both local ales as well as excellent quality food.
St Agnes is a stop off on the South West Coastal Path which runs round the length of Cornwall. This and other footpaths give an opportunity to discover the real Cornwall and visit areas off the beaten path such as Wheal Cotes Mine, Chapel Porth and St Agnes Beaco.
Truro is the largest city in Cornwall and is located 7 miles from St Agnes. As well as having its stunning cathedral, which is visible from most places within the city, Truro has a wide selection of high street chains and a variety of small independent shops and markets which sell all sorts of clothing, food, books, music and bric-a-brac.
There is also the famous Lemon Quay arcade which houses small alternative lifestyle shops on its ground level and a gallery for local artists on the upper floor.
