Description
Welcome to La Mer and to Eastbourne the sunshine capital of the South!
La Mer is a pleasant Edwardian building in Marine Road, situated just off the Royal Parade and within 100 yards of the sea and Eastbournes elegant promenade which stretches for 3 miles along the coast. The pier and the bandstand (where they have afternoon concerts and sometimes dancing!) are also close by as is the Wish Tower which has a super view of the coastline from their restaurant where you can have a drink and a bite to eat. Just one mile along the coast is the new Sovereign Marina and harbour village which has nice shops and restaurants and is well worth a visit if only to look at the yachts.
La Mer is within walking distance of the town centre, offering the usual range of high street stores, cinemas, theatres, cafιs, wine bars and restaurants and nearer to the guest house are also local shops, pubs and restaurants.
In the surrounding countryside there are some beautiful Sussex villages, historic sites to visit, one of which is the Norman castle at Pevensey and of course the infamous Beachy Head!
All bedrooms are attractively furnished and decorated, with colour television and tea/coffee making facilities if required. Some are en suite. Full English or a lighter breakfast is provided in our dining room.
There is unrestricted parking in Marine Road. Eastbourne has good rail links to London, Gatwick Airport and the South of England and offers excellent bus services in and around Eastbourne and further afield along the coast.
La Mer operates a strict NO SMOKING policy.
