Lemmings is a separate cottage, in our garden at Last Lantern Cottage, situated in beautiful countryside. Hewish is a small hamlet with a tiny church, tucked away, surrounded by rolling hills and dairy farms. Although in an area of outstanding beauty on the borders of Dorset and Devon, having fantastic view of famous hills such as Pilsdon and Lewesdon from nearby fields, Hewish is only a few minutes drive from Crewkerne. Crewkerne is an elegant small town providing all immediate shopping needs and boasting a main railway line to London. Everything you could possibly want from a rural location, where National Trust gardens and houses lie within easy reach. As does the world famous Jurassic Coast line - Bridport, Burton Bradstock, Charmouth - with Lyme Regis only 30 minutes by car through the spectacular Marshwood Vale.We are down a no-through-lane which ends in fields and a river. Lemmings is totally private with its own parking and garden bordered by a stream. There is outside seating available. Breakfast is a sumptuous feast complete with home made marmalade and jams. Nothing is too much trouble and this meal is usually served between 8.00 and 9.30 a.m. Earlier starts can be accommodated.PLEASE NOTE: Check In is from 15:00 to 18:00 & Check Out is by 10:30. We are a NO Smoking accommodation. One well behaved dog [we are adjacent to a working farm]can be accommodated. A Travel Cot & High Chair can be provided for a child under 1 years of age who can stay free of charge.
