Description
We look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful county of Northumberland, and to our comfortably furnished 18th century house, situated in 400 acres above the River Tyne, looking over the market town of Hexham to the North Tyne Valley.
Loughbrow House, a mansion house which dates from 1780, is comfortably furnished, with many antiques adding to its essential 18th century character. There is a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Indeed, our guests have often remarked that this is not like a bed & breakfast, but rather as if they were being welcomed into somebody's home.
Our beautiful gardens, (Mrs Clark's pride and joy!), we even feature in the Good Gardens guide for Great Britain, there is fresh home-grown produce and home baking, and typical country house ambience, will make your stay at Loughbrow House a relaxing, and wonderfully enriching experience. We are also half a mile from the nearest road so it is very quiet here, the perfect place to unwind!
Children over 7 years old are welcome, although there is a small canal running through the grounds, so they must be supervised. There is secure off-road parking, and a garage on request. Loughbrow House is open all year round, except for occasional holiday breaks.
We kindly request that all arrivals are between 5 and 6pm, arrivals before or after this time must be via prior arrangement please.
There is also an additional charge for stays of only one night, the rate for this stay is £40.
We offer Dinner for 4 or more people and the price is £22.50 per person and we use all of our own vegetables and produce where possible.
I look forward to welcoming you to my home.

Attractions
Loughbrow House stands 600ft above the River Tyne, looking over the market town of Hexham to the North Tyne Valley, and yet only a mile from the centre of town. The house is in the heart of the Northumberland National Park, with ancient Hexham at the bottom of the hill, and adjacent to Hadrian's Wall.
Loughbrow is within easy distance of the Lake District, Scotland, Durham, Alnwick and the many National Trust properties that abound throughout Northumbria, which has a wonderfully rich heritage. Hexham is mid-way between Carlisle and the east coast at Tynemouth, with the beautiful Northumberland Coastline; Bamburgh and Lindisfarne, just a short drive away.
Northumberland has a lot to offer in terms of outdoor activities and events. For the seriously energetic the newly opened Hadrian's Wall Trail is close by, with the delights of Keilder Water only a short distance too. There are three local golf courses, with many other sports and recreational activities on offer too.
Hexham is situated close by the A69, and is easily accessible via local rail and road networks from all directions. The local railway station lies on the main Carlisle/Newcastle route.
