The hotel is family owned and run and we offer a friendly, relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The Mayfair occupies an unrivalled position with views across Sandown bay to Culver clliff and the Nab Tower.
The large, sea facing sun terrace and gardens, offer the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cool drink on a summer's day whilst watching the many ocean going liners pass by. On colder days, our comfortably furnished Lounge bar offers panoramic views from behind the shelter of the picture windows.
The Dining room is light, spacious, airy and comfortably seats 100 people.
We know how important it is to have fresh, white, fluffy towels, crisp, clean bedding and a comfortable bed to sleep on.
We have 46 bedrooms, all en suite, with either baths or showers and some with showers positioned over the bath. All of our rooms have colour televisions and refreshment making facilites.
The kidney shaped swimming pool is heated from May until September and is set in a private and sheltered area of the gardens.
We have a variety of entertainers in our lounge bar performing live music on most evenings.
The Isle of Wight boasts a congenial climate throughout the year and during low and mid season we offer Monday to Friday and Friday to Sunday or Monday short breaks.
During late October, November and early December we offer traditional "Tinsel & Turkey" breaks. We also celebrate the New Year with guests arriving on the 30th December for 3 night's Dinner, bed and breakfast and nightly entertainment.

Wherever you go on the Isle of Wight you will see evidence of a fascinating past, going back to the time of the dinosaurs. Roman villas, medieval castles, historic houses and exhibitions reflect life in a bygone age. No holiday is complete without a visit to queen Victoria's favourite seaside home, the magnificent Osborne House, given to the nation by King Edward V11. Children love to journey back to prehistoric times, looking at fossils and life-sized animated models at the Island's dinosaur museums. Maritime heritage can be discovered at a number of museums, with displays of pirate gold and silver, and countless artefacts recovered from shipwrecks.
The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break, at any time of year. It is a stunning Island boasting unspoilt scenery and a wealth of fascinating attractions.
