The B&B (and Self-catering), is situated on the outskirts of the peaceful rural village of Manston near Shaftesbury in Dorset set in the beautiful “Blackmore Vale”. It is ideally located for local attractions (all within about 30 to 40 minutes) like Monkey World, Longleat (House and Safari Park), Shaftesbury (Gold Hill), Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Kingston Lacy, Avebury Stone Circles, Hardy's cottage, Larmer Tree Gardens, Compton Abbas airfield, and Rushmore Golf Course.

Northwood Cottages has luxury Guest Accommodation (B&B) of which all is en-suite and Self Catering, which has a 4 star rating with Silver Award from Visit Britain & AA.

There are 2 cottages one with 2 doubles and 2 singles, the other with a double (private bathroom) and an en-suite twin. All have towels, linen, toiletries provided and full English breakfast and dinners are available with prior notice.

All rooms have 21” TV, tea, and coffee making facilities, radio/clock, FREE wireless broadband, a hairdryer and top of the range Sealy beds. There are separate cosy guest sitting rooms with open wood fire (during Winter upon request) or log effect LPG fire, also DVD/CD/VCD players, and HiFi / radios. There is a shared laundry, a beautiful large garden with views and a children’s play area (swings and a slide), self catering has a patio and BBQ. A large scale tourist wall map and brochures are also provided.
