Description
The Paragon Hotel in Birmingham is set in an Edwardian building, built by Lord Rowton in 1903, now converted to accommodate 250 guestrooms.
The hotel is half a mile from the Bullring, Birmingham's glamorous shopping center and one mile from the city center, the Sealife Centre and the International Convention Centre.
Guestrooms are decorated with simple, light wood furniture and have a traditional feel that is in keeping with the hotels' period architecture. All the rooms have satellite television, complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities.
All rooms are non-smoking.
The Paragon's eatery, the Princess Helena Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here guests can feast in a relaxed, informal setting choosing from an internationally flavored menu.
The Paragon Hotel also offers Naylors Bar, designed in a pub style, and serving hearty pub food and a wide range of drinks; entertainment comes in the shape of televised sporting events and a pool table.
Attractions
Visitors who manage to find their way out of The Bullring can take a trip to Cadbury World, which is three miles from the hotel and devoted entirely to the production and consumption of chocolate.
Birmingham International Airport is 25 minutes and eight miles away. Skyrail to Birmingham New Street station. Black cabs provide a 24 hour service from the official rank outside the airport passenger terminals.
