Description
The Riverside Hotel was built around 1584, by Sir Richard Grenville of the Armada fame. He was the benefactor who provided Boscastle with its fine sea walls. The Riverside Hotel, situated along the River Valency, has ten spacious rooms with river or harbour views. The hotel had an extensive refit in early 2005 and there are tea and coffee making facilities, colour televisions, central heating and ensuite facilities in every room.
The Hotel is only five minutes from the South West Coastal path and Boscastle Harbour, but is situated in the centre of the village. We are adjacent to all amenities, with excellent restaurants and pubs nearby.
A full English Breakfast is included in the room price and is served between 8.30 and 10.30 am.
We ask you to vacate your room by 11.00 am each morning, so that it can either be serviced or changed.
The Hotel adopts a strict Non-smoking Policy throughout the bedrooms.

Providing an extensive menu by day and a full Grill and "Al a Carte" menu by night, The Riverside Restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, uses local suppliers to offer a wide selection of regional produce including locally caught fish, farmed meats and fresh vegetables daily. All of the meats used by the restaurant are locally reared and the fish is landed locally.
Hot Offer
We are offering our winter customers SPECIAL WEEKEND BREAKS at an exclusive rate. We are offering a reduction of £10.00 per night when you dine with us in the restaurant on a Friday or Saturday evening.
The offer is based on two adults sharing at the current tariff price, including breakfast in the morning and the ensuite room. For each night you dine in the restaurant, £10.00 will be deducted from that nights accommodation. Price savings are approximate and based on current tariffs.
Availability of winter break weekends start from Nov 1st 2008 – March 31st 2009, excluding Christmas and New Year bank holidays.
Attractions
Today, Boscastle's attractions bring tourists from around the world. With spectacular scenery inland, the interesting old village cottages, or the popular rugged coastline, Boscastle has something to offer to everyone. The Museum of Witchcraft, now into it's 54th year, continues to be one of Cornwall's most popular museums. It illustrates how Witchcraft has survived into through the ages in this ancient landscape, with its many large collections and exhibitions.
Also well worth a visit is the unique 60ft waterfall, at the head of the idyllic wooded valley of St. Nectan's Glen. Just a few miles away near Tintagel, it can be approached by several cliff footpaths.
Only five miles from the hotel, there is a championship length golf course at Bowood Park in Camelford.
