Description
Rock Mill Cottage
A most charming early 18th Century Northumbrian rural retreat, which adjoins the owner's tranquil farmhouse and garden in the scattered rural hamlet of Rock.
Just 2 miles inland from the beautiful Heritage Bays of Embleton and Low Newton-by-the-Sea, its location is idyllic and peaceful - perfect for that hard earned relaxing break.
The market town of Alnwick lies 6 miles to the south west, whilst Lindisfarne on Holy Island stands proudly on the horizon some 24 miles to the north.
With picture postcard beaches and seriously good real ale pubs and restaurants in abundance (including the owners favourite, 'The Ship Inn' at Low Newton-by-the-Sea) Rock Mill Cottage and its environs provide a truly superb country holiday paradise.
Croft Cottage
A beautiful, this time wholly detached stone with slate roof barn conversion, once again just 2 miles inland from the beautiful Heritage Bays of Embleton and Low Newton-by-the-Sea.
Formerly a Georgian farm steading, Croft Cottage has in recent times been both lovingly restored and modernised to an exceptionally high standard. It offers a spacious open plan living area, with natural limestone flooring and original roof trusses. With two good sized bedrooms and a luxurious limestone orientated bathroom, this idyllic retreat is perfectly designed for relaxing amidst awesomely beautiful surrounding countryside.
With Northumberland's Heritage Coast and the historic Market Town of Alnwick all within particularly easy driving distance, Croft Cottage makes for a truly unique holiday destination.
