Description
Isabel and Terry will make you most welcome in our picturesque, cosy, traditional Cornish stone built cottage, which has been modernised inside to provide the quality and comfort expected by the most discerning bed and breakfast visitors.
Roslyn Cottage is easily identified by its profusion of large flowering hanging baskets and pots which make such a stunning picture throughout the summer months.
Relax and enjoy the charming and tastefully furnished rooms which complement the open beamed ceilings, deep stone walls and inglenook fireplaces which will make your stay so pleasurable.
Our lovely en-suite bedroom, which can also be used as a family room, is located on the ground floor and most ideal for the less mobile who experience some difficulty in negotiating stairs.
We also have a double bedded and twin bedded room located on the first floor.
Complementary tea and coffee making facilities are provided in each room which are also equipped with colour televisions and wash hand basins for your personal comfort and enjoyment.
For further peace and quiet, you are welcome to relax in our sun lounge which overlooks the gardens at the rear of the cottage.
Attractions
Roslyn Cottage is an ideal base for touring and visiting the many places of interest which can be found in the area. These include of course the historic market town of Helston, famous for its annual Flora day, with its myriad of shops and cobbled streets and the towns of Penzance, St. Ives, Truro and Falmouth which are also both within easy driving distance of our cottage. The very popular St. Michael's Mount at Marazion is only a twenty minute drive and has a wonderful safe and sandy beach for the children.
The beautiful Lizard Peninsula with its varied landscape and many attractive coves and villages is not to be missed and is well worth exploring.
Walkers should not miss the wonderful experience of visiting the nearby Loe Pool, Cornwall's largest inland freshwater lake, which is separated from the sea by Loe Bar, a narrow shingle bank. Legend says this is the home of the Lady of the Lake and where King Arthur's famous sword Excalibur lies!
