Description
Saughy Rigg Farm is an ideal base for a walking holiday on
Hadrian`s Wall National Trail.
Magnificently situated about half a mile north of Hadrian's Wall within Northumberland's beautiful National Park, the wall can be seen from the farm.
Saughy Rigg is in the middle of all the most important sites. Housesteads, Vindolanda, Great Chesters and the Roman Army Museum at Carvoran are all within 4 miles, via beautiful scenic walks.
Or, if you are feeling less active you can always catch the 'Roman Wall' bus. Wonderful walks and wildlife begin at our door.
All our rooms are en-suite with showers (some with baths as well). All have been tastefully decorated to reflect the character of our farm which dates from 1760. All the rooms are comfortably furnished, with quality beds.
Our hospitality trays are stocked with Fair Trade tea and coffee and our bathrooms are stocked with hand made local toiletries - to find out more about these please visit www.aromantherapy.co.uk
Guests can choose from twin, double, single or family rooms.
In addition there is a comfortable and cosy lounge
with TV, DVD, and a selection of books.
Our dining room is a pleasant South facing room with views up to Hadrians Wall where breakfast and dinner are served.
We offer a pick up and set down service for trail walkers and will also pick guests up from local public transport points.
After having so many of our guests who are walkers we feel we are very aware of their needs and priorities. All our guests receive a warm friendly welcome with a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of home made cake on arrival!
