Dating back to the 17th Century, the Severn Valley Guest House is a delightful coaching inn full of charm and original features where you will always be assured of a warm welcome. We are well located in the historical town of Bewdley, close to the River Severn and the Severn Valley steam railway.
Each en-suite room has either bath or shower, tea-making facilities, TV, clock radio and a few thoughtful extras to make your stay enjoyable.
A combination of full English, vegetarian or continental breakfast is served daily from 7am. Fresh fruit and a selection of teas are always available. A light supper can be provided in advance if arriving late.
We welcome children to stay in our family rooms. Dogs are allowed by prior arrangement.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Attractions
Situated on the River Severn, Bewdley became a prosperous port for the river traders. It was a gateway for the industries in the Black Country to trade with towns in Golucestershire and Bristol.
Bewdley is now a conservation town retaining many of its old buildings and offers a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.
There are many walks you can take along the River Severn enjoying its beautiful scenery and wondering what it would have been like in days gone by.
Within a few minutes walk from us you will find the famous Severn Valley Steam Railway, which offers a wonderful trip through beautiful countryside to Bridgnorth and kidderminster.
The Middle Severn is found at the end of our road and the opportunity to catch many species of fish including hard fighting barbel is legendry. Any fishermen will find many a challenge and enjoy the natural surroundings and wildlife the river has to offer.
Rods can be stored on the premises.
The wonderful West Midlands Safari Park with the African Big 5 is 1 mile away and well worth a visit. Wyre Forest, canals and country walks are found in the surrounding areas.
Worcester is only 30 minutes away.
