Attractions
The charming little coastal town of Bude faces west into the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean in an unspoilt corner of North Cornwall. Its close proximity to the Devon border makes Bude an ideal centre for touring and exploring.
To the north, along the coast, lie Bideford Bay, Clovelly and Hartland.
The cathedral city of Exeter and the delights of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, together with the fascinating Eden Project, are inland to the south.
The quaint villages of Boscastle, Tintagel and the picturesque harbour of Padstow lie along the coast to the south west. All are easily accessible, within an hours pleasant drive - and not a Motorway in sight!
Bude has many varied attractions including a fine canal for fishing and boating, three beautiful sandy beaches for swimming, surfing or body-boarding, a free, sea-filled swimming pool nestles under the cliffs; and walks along the south west coastal path, overlooking the ocean, present breathtaking views.
There are many activities away from the beaches such as golf, pitch and putt, cycling, horse riding, bowls, tennis and a large indoor leisure centre, including ten-pin bowling.
Cornwall has a magic of its own, at any time of year, but the Spring and Autumn, when the roads are quiet, is the perfect time for exploring its delights!
