Only five minutes walk from England's largest lake, Lake Windermere, in the heart of the village of Bowness on Windermere, within its own gardens and grounds with fantastic views, near all the shops, restaurants and attractions, The Angel Inn welcomes you to enjoy a very special place in the country's most unique landscape, perfect for everyone to enjoy.

Family owned and run The Angel Inn was refurbished in the summer of 2005 and opened with the philosophy of offering great service, wonderful food, comfortable accommodation and a good selection of wines and beers in a relaxed and informal manner. This philosophy has continued to the present day and customers return time and time again to enjoy The Angel Inn.

After a day on the hills or a night on the town, retreat to your own comfortable haven, 14 bedrooms all the same, but all different, all en-suite with flat screen tv, everything you would expect, and hoped for.

Within the main building rooms range from our 7 standard rooms with en-suite shower up to Room 1 with lake view, sleigh bed and newly refurbished bathroom with corner bath.

We also have 3 new rooms situated in The Gatehouse within the grounds of The Angel Inn including Room 14, our largest room with lounge area, lake views and stunning bathroom with corner bath.

Tired after Christmas and New Year, why not relax and come for a break at The Angel.

Double rooms available from £60.00 per room per night Sunday to Thursday and from £80.00 per room per night Friday and Saturday.

The Angel Inn is perfectly situated for your holiday, within easy reach of all the major areas of The Lake District, the most beautiful area of England.

Famous for William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin and also England's tallest mountain Scafell Pike, Largest Lake Lake Windermere and Englands Deepest Lake Wastwater.

We are within 2 minutes walk of The World of Beatrix Potter and 5 minutes walk of Windermere Lake Cruises. From our front door there are also many walks to take in our surrounding area.

Whilst staying at The Angel Inn all of our guest receive free usage of a local leisure club which has swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gymnasium.
