The Old Well Inn sits comfortably in the centre of Barnard Castle and has recently undergone an extensive and tasteful refurbishmentof all rooms and public areas, maintaining and enhancing the character and fabric of this lovely traditional 17th century inn. The 10 ensuite bedrooms are beautifully furnished and as you would expect every one is individual in character and charm.

Barnard Castle is an historic market town with beautiful Georgian buildings lining its main streets. The River Tees offers a lovely backdrop to the charming Durham countryside. Ideally located in the town centre, Bowes Museum is just 100 metres away, while the golf course, High Force, and Raby Castle are all a short drive from us.

We have three different restaurants, each with a distinctive atmosphere and ambience. Relax in the main restaurant, enjoy the continental atmosphere of the conservatory, or enjoy pasta and pizza in Rabana's Italian restaurant.
