The White House is a delightful 15th Century Grade II listed manor house set in one acre of attractive gardens providing a warm and relaxing atmosphere for all. Refurbished to an outstanding quality by Mike and Linda; The White House offers first class bed and breakfast accommodation; tailored to guests individual needs.Being located close to Stansted Airport 1.5 miles; (but not on the flight path); The White House is the perfect venue for travellers going to and from the airport. The White House is conveniently situated for easy access to East Anglia's many attractions; including Hatfield Forest; Duxford Imperial War Museum; Cambridge and Newmarket Races as well as the City of London by road or rail.A continental style buffet breakfast is served for those departing early; and for those with a more leisurely start; a hearty English cooked breakfast served in the traditional; open beamed countryside kitchen. An evening meal is available at our nearby pub; The Lion and Lamb; which is also owned by Mike and Linda and is just a 2-minute drive away where British and modern European food is served all day until 10.00pm. To assist you during your stay with us; The White House offers; subject to availability; free transportation to the Lion and Lamb. There is ample parking at a cost of £3.00 per day.Please Note: We are a No-Smoking property. Regrettably; we cannot accept pets. Children welcome. Check-In time: 14:00 and Check-Out time: 11:00.
