We welcome you to the Walnut Lodge in Torquay, an elegant and beautifully presented victorian guest house with no smoking throughout. Our aim is to provide our guests with quality accommodation within a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Walnut Lodge is set in an ideal location in a quiet, tree-lined avenue with the Riviera Centre, torre abbey gardens, seafront and town centre a short walk away.
Each of our five well furnished en-suite bedrooms have a colour television, hair dryer, clock radio and tea/coffee making facilities.
Our attractive dining room overlooks the patio and provides a perfect setting to enjoy our delicious breakfast buffet. We have been awarded a full hygiene certificate. After a long day exploring all that the Riviera has to offer, you can enjoy a coffee in our garden.
We are open all year for holidays and short breaks on the English Riviera.
All main transport links are close by, with the train station and bus station within walking distance. We also have a good sized car park for guests use.
When choosing Walnut Lodge as your holiday destination, you can be sure that a warm welcome awaits from resident proprietors Neil & Lynda Gilbert.
Attractions
Set on the stunning coastline of South Devon, the English Riviera is a great place to relax, unwind and get away from it all.
With all the glamour and style of a Mediterranean resort, the English Riviera really does live up to its name, and with one of the best climates in Britain, it's holiday time all the time. Discover The English Riviera with its three beautiful resort towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.
The mild climate has made it a popular resort since Victorian times and it is easy to see why. There are 22 miles of coastline, cliffs, coves and beaches with walks to rival any in the South West of England.
Torquay's waterfront is the focus of life in the town. Here you'll find the palm-lined promenades, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina.
There is an abundance of pavement cafes, pubs, restaurants and nightlife, good quality shops and a host of attractions to suit every interest.
Torquay is the place to soak up the atmosphere, take in the scenery, enjoy the parks, beaches and gardens and to experience a holiday in a classical English seaside resort, at all times of the year.
