The Walpole Bay Hotel in Cliftonville, Kent, was built for discerning guests in 1914, extended in 1927 and is now being lovingly restored to her former glory. With spacious lounges, a flower decked veranda, Edwardian restaurant, snooker room and a 1920s ballroom, guests will appreciate the level of comfort and service The Walpole provides.

There are five theatres including the second oldest in Britain, The Theatre Royal, and the smallest, The Tom Thumb. From the moment you enter The Walpole Bay Hotel, you step back in time to the ambience of a bygone era. The wonderful 1927 trellis-gated lift serving all five floors is the centrepiece of our ‘Living Museum’ which will eventually encompass the whole hotel.
