Grove Hill Bed and Breakfast in the midst of the Celtic Welsh countryside, was originally built in the 17th Century as a Hunting lodge for the local aristocracy, with accommodation for the owners and servants quarters attached.
It later developed into a farm house and steadings. Some of the original features can still be seen such as the exposed oak beams in the dining room ceiling. During recent renovation of the house Jane added an old Welsh kitchen range she inherited from her Grandmother.
The House sits in 12 acres of its own grounds, surrounded by pasture and woodland. There is also a small lake at the back of the house.
It should be remembered that we are in a rural area of Wales, which has poor Public Transport links, so access to transport such as your own/hire car, motorbike or bicycle would be necessary for you to get the most out of your holiday - Unless you are on a walking holiday!!
There is 1 Twin Room and 1 Double room available for guests, with a private bathroom/shower. The rooms overlook the lake and woodland.
We have tried to make the guest rooms as comfortable as possible, they contain colour TV, bathrobes, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, a range of toiletries and personal items, up to date magazines and a comprehensive range of tourist books and pamphlets.
You have your own keys for the house, and can come and go as you please.
By prior arrangement Jane would be happy to prepare an evening meal. If necessary a table may be booked at one of the nearby public houses or restaurants, (approximately 2 miles away).
There is a selection of take-aways in Llandeilo: Indian, Chinese and a Welsh fish and chip shop.
Regrettably, the traditional style of the house makes it unsuitable for people who are wheelchair dependent or who cannot climb stairs with minimal assistance
There is ample safe off road parking in the Courtyard; the house is about 200 meters off the main road.
