The market town of Alnwick lies 6 miles to the south west, whilst Lindisfarne on Holy Island stands proudly on the horizon some 24 miles to the north.

With picture postcard beaches and seriously good real ale pubs and restaurants in abundance (including the owners favourite, 'The Ship Inn' at Low Newton-by-the-Sea) Rock Mill Cottage and its environs provide a truly superb country holiday paradise.

Croft Cottage

A beautiful, this time wholly detached stone with slate roof barn conversion, once again just 2 miles inland from the beautiful Heritage Bays of Embleton and Low Newton-by-the-Sea.

Formerly a Georgian farm steading, Croft Cottage has in recent times been both lovingly restored and modernised to an exceptionally high standard. It offers a spacious open plan living area, with natural limestone flooring and original roof trusses. With two good sized bedrooms and a luxurious limestone orientated bathroom, this idyllic retreat is perfectly designed for relaxing amidst awesomely beautiful surrounding countryside.

Hadrians Wall is well worth a visit and is easy accessible and there are many a delightful walk to be had in the Cheviot Hills.

Craster Tower is a fabulous apartment occupying the entire top floor of historic Craster Tower; a superbly preserved country house dating from the fifteenth century; built around a 14th century Pele Tower. Recently completely refurbished to the highest standard; the apartment provides elegantly decorated and furnished accommodation; with stunning views on all sides. Craster Tower is located on the fantastic Northumberland Coast.

The picturesque fishing village of Craster is a short walk down a footpath through woods and fields. There are exhilarating coastal walks passing some dramatic scenery; including one along the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are only 7 miles. Warkworth Castle; Bamburgh Castle; Holy Island; the Farne Islands and the Cheviot Hills are all within easy reach. Superb beaches; sand; and yachting at Bamburgh; jet-skiing at Beadnell and castle building at Embleton! Outstanding opportunities for ramblers and bird watchers. There are 5 golf courses within 20 minutes.

The rooms are exceptionally spacious; with many original features retained including decorative coving; ornate stone and marble fireplaces and a fine Venetian chandelier suspended from the ceiling in the drawing room. Howick Scar Farm, a working farm of 250 acres with sheep, cattle and cereals, has spectacular views, from both bedrooms, of the inward looking cliff face (scar) across two fields toward the sea. 2 Comfortable Double Bedrooms The accommodation offered is in two double bedrooms with wash basins and hairdryers also provided. . Linhope House was built around 1820 and retains much of the Regency elegance with its pillared entrance leading into an exquisite hallway with original coving and staircase. A huge feature arched window lights up the hallway. Guests can enjoy the beautiful drawing room/ dining room with its high ceilings and beautiful marble fireplace and huge windows both south and west. Our three guest rooms have been recently decorated using traditional themes and include a variety of antiques and modern facilities to ensure comfort in every way. Two of our large bedrooms have ensuite facilities and the third has its own private bathroom with the added bonus of a steam / shower cabin containing optional radio and subtle lighting. The beautiful lawned garden together with original ornate stone fountain faces the property is surrounded by trees giving a peaceful and secluded atmosphere. There is ample parking in a completely private car park.
