All rooms are from £55 per night Bed & Breakfast for double and twin(£30 for the single) Packed lunches available on request.
All rooms have a colour television and tea and coffee making facilities. Meals are available in the bar.
The George is the traditional village inn and very much a centre of the community. We have two bars one with a log fire as well as non-smoking dinning room. The Taproom is mainly frequented by the locals and you would be welcome to share, a game of darts, dominoes or to talk about the walks and other activities in the area, with many of them.
The taproom is walker friendly, that is more suitable for people with muddy boots, and well behaved dogs are welcome (however we would ask you to keep clear of any patrons eating). The lounge bar with its log fire is more cosy and relaxing.
The George offers a varied menu catering for all tastes and appetites. Wherever possible we use local produce from local suppliers including local farmers who also sell produce for you to take home, if you are lucky you can buy from the Farmers market which is held in the village on the second Saturday of the month. The menu changes throughout the year to reflect seasonal availability, as well as offering some specials to make the most of items not always available on a regular basis. We are happy to discuss any special dietary requirements and will do our best to cater for these needs.
You can choose to eat in the bar or go through to our non-smoking dining room. We have a good variety of wines to accompany your meal as well as a wide selection of liqueurs to finish the meal off. We also offer tea and a full range of coffees, from espresso to cappuccino as well as liqueur coffees, available throughout the day.
We have a function room which can be used as a meeting room, for parties or other function. We would be happy to discuss your requirements for any event. Please note that we are limited to 20 for a sit down meal or 35 theatre style. The room lends itself best for buffet style service and allows people to wander between the bar and function room.
