Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, Monkton Farleigh is an unspoilt, picturesque conservation village. The farmhouse is set in its own grounds with spectacular views over Wiltshire. Originally a barn dating back to the 1850's it has now been sympathetically converted to a high standard, retaining many of the original features. The village lies 5 miles south of Bath and 5 miles from the Saxon town of Bradford-on-Avon. Our accommodation comprises of three charming double rooms, all of which are fully en-suite, one providing a queen-size bed. Our facilities can also include a family room, twin or single accommodation. We also have an extra, separate, guests' bathroom. All rooms are well-appointed with full central heating, hospitality trays, televisions, hair driers and radio/alarms. For additional comfort our guests can enjoy watching the television, playing the piano or just relaxing in the lounge which has the traditional features of oak beams and an open fire. From the lounge the french windows lead you onto a large patio with garden furniture, a childrens' play area, lawns and swimming pool. Cheddar, longleat, Stonehenge, the Cotswolds, Kennett & Avon Canal can be easily visited form Church Farm.

Arundel House is within easy walking distance of shops, adventure caving, Leisure Centre and swimming pool, Cheddar Gorge and the picturesque Mendip Hills. These offer open countryside and magnificent views for those wishing to walk in unspoiled surroundings.

Other facilities close by include golf, horse riding, fishing and an artificial ski slope with ski lift.

Within easy reach of Cheddar are the beautiful Cathedral City of Wells and the Historic Town of Glastonbury. Bath, with its famous Georgian buildings and Roman Baths is 25 miles away, whilst Bristol with its large shopping centres, museums, theatres and historic docks is 18 miles from Cheddar. For those who enjoy a day on the beach, the seaside resort of Weston-Super-Mare is 10 miles away.

Guests may enjoy a drink at the bar in our attractive lounge, where a log fire burns during colder periods. Our food is freshly made and of an excellent standard, special diets can be catered for, 24 hours notice is required for Sunday lunch and our evening menu, whilst snacks are available until 10pm.
