Stockleigh Lodge provides four star bed and breakfast accommodation, ideal for a relaxing break in a tranquil location. This large country house is set in wooded grounds on the outskirts of Exford village, in Exmoor National Park. Hosts Myra and Mike offer a warm welcome, a cup of tea and a home made cake on arrival, ensuring guests feel instantly at home.
Located at the centre of the Exmoor National Park, the lodge is convenient for visiting picturesque villages such as Lynton, Lynmouth and Porlock and several historical National Trust properties. The spectacular coastline at North Devon and the swimming beaches of South Devon are both within easy reach. The horse riding and walking on Exmoor is exceptional, with minimal roads and miles of moor land and wooded river valleys. Guests are welcome to use our facilities to stable their own horses. We are happy to suggest riding routes and both riders and walkers can be escorted around the moor if not confident in venturing out on their own.
Stockleigh Lodge is the place to visit at any time of the year. In winter there are roaring log fires and full central heating and in the summer the large garden and veranda at the front are ideal for reading or relaxing. There is a large comfortable guest sitting room to relax in after a day out, offering games, maps, books, a piano and television.
Walkers and cyclists are welcome - a drying room, secure cycle storage and packed lunches are available.
