Pelham House is a 16th Century hotel decorated in contemporary style, situated in the historic town of Lewes nestled in the heart of Sussex.Most bedrooms overlook our pretty south facing garden, framed by views towards the South Downs. Quirky Lewes is full of Antique and local produce and shops and has played an important role in English history. The Saxon town was granted by William the Conqueror to William de Warenne, on return from Normandy in 1067; in 1264 it was the scenery for the Battle of Lewes; Tom Paine, writer of 'The Rights of Man' who later played a key part in the French revolution and went on to co-write the American Declaration of Independence was a also Lewes son.

Hotel du Vin Brighton is situated in the Lanes conservation area, a stone's throw from the seafront.
