65% of Brits planning a UK staycation in 2013!

At last! great news for the UK B&B and Hotel industry!

The survey was carried out by Travelodge who polled 3,000 guests, and they found that a whopping 65% of guests were planning a UK break in 2013, compared to only 41% last year, and 35% the year before.

This should increase the revenue generated by the Tourist industry by £3.3billion!

They also found that of those holidaying in the UK, 42% would be for 1 week and 15% would take a 2 week holiday. The seaside is not always the first choice these days with only 22% opting for a beach holiday and 27% rural, while City breaks win at 31% with London being the top destination.
