Description

Abbey House Bed & Breakfast accommodation is a 3-storey townhouse, situated right in the middle of the historical town of Wexford, a few minutes' walk from the Wexford train & bus station.

Our rooms are ensuite and each room has tea and coffee facilities, as well as television. We provide a friendly smile and biscuits on arrival.

We are within a 1 minute walk from Wexford's main street. This hosts a variety of shops and restaurants for all to choose from. You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to your palate as we have Indian, Chinese, French, Italian and of course traditional Irish restaurants all providing extensive menus. We will only be to pleased to advise you where to go.

Our breakfast is served from 7.00am-9.30am. We provide the full Irish breakfast menu. However we do have a variety of dishes for vegetarians. We also provide an evening meal for those tired tourists who might be arriving late, or for people who would like to sample something different.

Abbey House is a family-run business, run by Georgina and her husband Bernard and her two young sons.

We do our utmost to ensure everyone's stay with us is a comfortable and a happy one, and we pride ourselves in knowing that a lot of guests return to us time after time.

Attractions

Wexford has a lot to offer the adventure seeker, as well as being a perfect place to relax and enjoy the people and thousands of years of history. Wexford's Harbour now hosts a new promenade, ideal for an evening stroll. The county's main attractions are all within easy reach of town, just to name a few: For more information on Wexford Town please visit Wexford Tourism

With 200km of coastline, Wexford has beaches to suit all. Only 7 miles from town, Curracloe Beach is a great example of miles of unspoilt white sandy beach. Guided walking tours of the sand dunes and nearby forest take place daily during summer. In 1997, this was the location for D-Day landing scenes in the Tom Hanks film "Saving Private Ryan".
