Exeter's quayside features a unique collection of historic industrial buildings and warehouses. The main attraction being the brick built Custom House. This was the first purpose built custom house in the Country - constructed during the reign of Charles II.
The warehouses along the quay have now been converted to a variety of antique shops, craft centres, restaurants and tea rooms.
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Exeter city centre then Stoke Woods is a great place to come and walk your dog and explore, following the two way-marked trails. It also contains some of the oldest and largest trees in Exeter.
Ottery St Mary is a small town just outside of Exeter which is rich in history and country walks. Every bonfire night theres the legendary tar barrels where locals carry flaming barrels through crowded streets.
