Maureen and Richard would like to welcome you to our home - Church End Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast - a small family run B&B situated in the centre of Hale Village which is just 12 miles out of Liverpool city centre.
Walking distance to the 2 pubs - "Childe of Hale" opposite our house and the Wellington Hotel - 5 minute walk around the corner - Hale Village is unique with thatched cottages and with a certain amount of history having been the birth place of the Childe of Hale reputed to have been 9ft 3ins back in the 17th century - log on to www.Halevillageonline.co.uk - to find out more. There are several walks to take including one to the shore where the Light house which has not been used since the 1950’s is situated.
There is easy access to Liverpool, Chester and Manchester by M56 and M62 and we are 2 miles from Liverpool Airport and 12 miles from Liverpool City Centre - www.visitliverpool.com - visit the web page for up to date events in the Liverpool area - buses run from the village every 20 minutes and a five minute drive to Hunts Cross Station takes you to the trains which run every 15 minutes and only take 10 minutes into the city.
We have 2 singles, 2 doubles/family rooms and 1 twin – all have colour flat screen tv’s with freeview and tea/coffee facilities - prices include full English breakfast - there is also a large enclosed garden.
We are situated in the picturesque village of Hale. (2 miles from Liverpool Airport) There is easy access to Liverpool, Chester and Manchester by M56 and M62 and we are very close to Liverpool airport (2 miles)
Speke Hall is a National Trust Property close to us. It is one of the finest half-timbered mansions of England, set in a tranquil oasis of gardens and woodland on the banks of the Mersey.
20 Forthlin Road is one of the most important houses in the history of popular music. This ordinary terraced house was the family home of Sir Paul and Michael McCartney right through the early Beatles years. This is where the Beatles composed and rehearsed their earliest songs.
The Albert Dock is Britain's most popular heritage attraction and three times winner of the Best Large Attraction in the North West award. There are scores of speciality shops and coster carts, bars, restaurants and cafes.
