Bed and Breakfast, St Ives B&B
Coasthouse
Coast House B&B is a newly refurbished townhouse, situated on Tregenna Terrace with ample parking nearby, offering very comfortable accommodation all year round. Our guest house is situated on the seaward side of St Ives, offering arguably the most magnificent views across the town and harbour, the open Ocean, with breathtaking coastal scenery and beyond.
Coast House is a victorian town house built in 1870, for a shipping merchant. In 1903-07 the house was occupied by the American impressionist Walter Elmer Schofield RBA ROI (1867-1944) who was regarded as one of America's leading landscape painters. During his time in St Ives he was a very active member of the arts club.
Today it has been carefully restored, and our 4 rooms are light and airy with a contemporary feel. A varied breakfast menu is available each day and includes fresh fruit, a choice of cereals, yogurt, fruit juice, full English, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, with vegetarian options always available. We source our food locally and only use free range eggs.
Room only is also available for those guests who wish to enjoy our rooms a little longer. A warm relaxing welcome awaits you whether you are visiting St. Ives for a short break or a longer holiday.
St. Ives is a town of outstanding beauty, with blue flag golden sandy beaches, attracting artists, shoppers, beachcombers, surfers and families alike. Experience the unique charm of this Cornish fishing town...whitewashed buildings and winding, cobbled streets, waiting to be explored. Dining in beach side and terraced restaurants. There is a multitude of colourful shops, restaurants, cafes and art galleries, including The Tate, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and the open golf courses at Tregenna Castle and Lelant.
The town is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall, with all it’s charming villages, stunning coastal towns and attractions, including St. Michael’s Mount, Penzance, Land’s End, Mousehole, Minack Theatre, Lizard Peninsula, Tintagel Castle and The Eden Project to mention but a few.
